This 'joli édition' is of the 1745 London edition edited by Pierre Coste. 10 volumes, 12° (3½" x 5¾"). Woodcut ornaments. Crimson morocco, five raised bands, gilt title on spine, all edges gilt, gilt patterned endpapers. Some volumes with bookplate on pastedown of a decorative heraldic crest of a crowned double shield style associated with French historical works. Two of the volumes have chipped spine ends. 3½" - 5¾".
